To do it, or not to do it, that is the current question...

First remember, I am a self admitted 'curtain hoarder,' so please, take that into consideration before you give me your answer ~ lol

Self control?
Is there such a thing?

I am indecisive ~ should I? Why shouldn't I?

Tough decisions in my world right now...
I was such a 'tight wad' on the bathroom remodel 'hunting & gathering' issue that I have a little extra mulla to purchase something really nice for that room~
Well, I'm well within my budget, lets put it that way & I dream about these curtains~!

Of course, I dream about ALOT of curtains ~ it changes moment to moment ~ lol

The indecisiveness is coming from the cost of shipping being almost as much as the curtains. They're in France (why do they have to be clear across the world?)
Ey, yey, yey...
~But, they are still cheaper than some I've bought in the past from JC Penney~

I have NONE like these in my hoard...
Probably because they're all still in France!

What do you think the chances are of me locating some of these "French" curtains at a local yardsale? lol

Oy' vey'... why can't I ever make up my mind? Do you realize it took me 8 months to pick out a bathroom sink ~ lol

Scroll down the page and look at all the pics -
This would solve my problem of needing a blind in that room. I don't want a blind ~ I just want long curtains... I want THESE CURTAINS!

So, should I do it? Should I order them and see if they can swim here from France? I've never ordered anything from France - New Adventure?

Lace is as much about the space between the threads

as it is about the threads themselves...

  1. Oh my gosh, they are gorgeous! Love, love them so you know that my answer is a big fat 'YES'! I am hopping over to check out more. Sometimes a girls just gotta break down and do it. I did it when I spied burlap curtains with smocking at the top at Thanksgiving Point. Even though I had bought fabric to make the curtains for my family room all thoughts went out the window and they came home with me. On sale no less.

  2. Thanks for the support Jann -
I've been thinking for 3 days about my inventory & I just have NOTHING like these.
    And, I'm in love...

(Pretty sick that it takes me 3 days to 'think' through my curtain inventory~ lol)

  3. You have got to be kidding me. I was just at a rummage sale on friday. They had something about the same. I had them in my hands 2 times and kept putting them back. I wasnt going to FEED your addiction.. I remember the address. Ill see if she still has them. What SIZE do you need? She had a whole bag of lace stuff.

    1. If this 'anonymous' post is from my "best" "besty," feed me, feed me... Why ask me to exhibit self-control when you know that isn't possible with me and curtains?
      lol~ any size... I can tailor anything to suit a window. I'm a 'pro-curtain' maticulator~!

    2. Yes, This is Pam,I dont know how to get my name there. I am going to check sometime this week to see if she still has them They had a few slight water stains on them I think, but i figured you would tea stain them anyways. She works at the post office( I sat and chatted with her. you know how i am). So need to figure out when she might be available. Will see if she still has them, and YES, Ill FEED your additction. (just dont tell Fred...)

    3. "My Lips are Sealed~!"

Are you serious... There was actually curtains similar to these at a yard sale in your State? Wow~
      You have all the fun...
      If they're cotton/linen ~ I can "tea stain" them. If they're polyester, I'm screwed~!
I luv ya Pam... This is why you're my best friend~!

I would know you irregardless. You just can't hide from me, even under the name 'Anonymous'...

    4. They WERE cotton and older looking.wasnt sure if you would have liked all the crocheting on the bottom of them... NOT polyester.. lol.. Like i said ill check to see if she has them.. If it FITs it ships..It was out in the county where tim parks his truck. It was cold and raining Iceballs.. Was in a crappy mood to rummage. I was on a hunt for a mirror for the bath redo and saw them.... Ill feed ya if she has them..

  4. Hey there would you mind stating which blog platform you're working with? I'm planning to start
my own blog soon but I'm having a tough time selecting between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal. The reason I ask is because your layout seems different then most blogs and I'm looking
for something unique. P.S My apologies for being off-topic but I had to ask!

Have a look at my page - laundry hampers

  5. I'm using Bloggers "Ethereal" template...
I'm not real 'blog' tech, so I hope that helps...

  6. Somebody necessarily lend a hand to make seriously articles
I would state. This is the very first time I frequented your website page and so far?
I amazed with the research you made to make this actual submit extraordinary.

    Fantastic process!
