Almost done with the patio~!

We got a late start today because the man-child had a dental appointment. He done a bit this morning and then went to the dentist. I figured he wouldn't wish to continue (root canal), but he came right home and started working on it until the wind kicked up and the blowing sand made it impossible to complete ~ darn...

Totally impressed with how close we are though~!

So very thankful for him, he's an AWESOME guy. He treats me like a queen. Even if just a queen covered in mud and sand with torn up jeans, old raggy gloves and bright pink plastic shoes...
(=

This is what it looked like this morning when I first went out. I had to take my first cup of coffee and hurry around the house to make sure it didn't grow legs and walk off in the middle of the night...

Here they are putting the 'edge' stones on...
Yes, the man-child is digging the trench for the edging stones with a gardening shovel ~
See that pick ax on the left, it took using that first to even make a trench in that compacted dirt.
This patio has a heck of a SOLID base ~ like cement...
Ya, that's Duke the wonder dog laying in the new planter ~ silly dirt dogs.

It looks FANTASTIC~ The sand lady needs to finish filling in those cracks with sand...

Just need a few cut 'fill-in' blocks there on the radius on the left, finish the edge on this side and we'll be finished~ yay~!
The sand lady isn't doing a very good job ~ the man-child stole the broom, while she climbed the tree to get a good pic.
Yes, I'm still 10 years old, if only in my own mind...

Sprayed it off a couple times to set the sand and called it a day~
We'll get it finished in the morning...

We're going to put a 2' gravel bed along the outside edge of the patio
and plant some Catmint ~ my favorite flowers~!

We'll have a beautiful view from the hot tub~!

I've nearly got him talked into a fence like this somewhere close to the patio too ~ yay!
Got all the rocks and brick, just need the man on board for the engineering know how, so the fence doesn't fall over...

Almost complete~!
