The Old Wood Toolbox ~ Part II...

I couldn't help myself...

I loved it like it was, after the redo In Part I... But, it was really dark in my kitchen. I just had to soften it somehow and since my kitchen is all old, ephemera, with the old crates, tins and signs, I had to add some 'bling' to make it match better and blend in...

It added a more polished and finished look to the $1 project...

It definitely matches all the wood in here now...

I even added some bling to the sides~

Across the road, in an old shed by the barn, there are buckets and buckets of old bolts.
I'm going to go over when it's done raining and find me a couple of rusty, square head ones and put a couple in the top, right there above the round 'bling,' to age it even more and give it some more visual appeal.

It turned out CUTE...

And, you know, the 'Man-Child' insists upon leaving a little, cardboard box full of tools on my kitchen counter. If I move them, he squeals. So, I'm contemplating using them as decor. Putting them in this new / old toolbox and putting them 'out of the way,' but right where he wants them and just incorporating them as decor for the kitchen...

What better place for old tools than in an old toolbox~!

I found the old labels and pic on google images ~ I cut them out and 'Mod-Podged' them onto the box. Then, I went over the whole thing ~ including the labels ~ with an apple butter brown antiquing medium, to give them that old, scruffy, aged, look...

It's officially finished~!
(Except for the square bolts)
